The Position

We are now looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist – Sustainability to drive sustainable procurement initiatives within our MSCOs and Corporate Purchasing department. This department oversees procurement governance across our European operations, ensuring consistency and alignment with company objectives. In this position, you will drive the integration of sustainability into procurement strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting our decarbonization goals.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a sustainability strategy for procurement, aligned with company-wide sustainability goals.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Purchasing Director, Purchasing Governance Manager and Sustainability Team to integrate sustainability into procurement policies and decision-making.
  • Lead supplier engagement for sustainable sourcing and decarbonization initiatives (Scope 3 emissions).
  • Monitor, report and drive continuous improvements in sustainable procurement practices.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, social and governance (ESG) regulations, policies and procurement guidelines.
  • Oversee supplier data collection and compliance documentation to support transparency and regulatory requirements.
  • Represent Toyota Material Handling Europe at industry events and forums on sustainability.

Profil

Your Profile   

  • 5-8 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or sustainability, with a proven track record in sustainable procurement initiatives.
  • Deep knowledge of ESG regulations, carbon accounting and sustainable procurement best practices.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with a strategic mindset and ability to implement innovative sustainability practices.
  • Structured, flexible and collaborative mindset with a strong focus on stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
