The European Key Account Organisation (EKA) is responsible and accountable for business development with key clients in Europe and globally, managing relations with a wide network of key stakeholders. Working in close cooperation with our 31 national sales companies (MSCOs) in Europe and our functional divisions, we identify opportunities for material handling equipment (MHE) and advanced logistics solutions, set up and develop business agreements with large international organizations based in Europe. Today the EKA organisation represent a significant share of TMHE’s total business - with a clear perspective to grow further. Our key markets are within the Retail industry (traditional and online), Logistics providers and FMCG.

The Position  

As European Key Account Manager (EKAM) you are accountable for the sales results per client, achieving the overall objectives with your portfolio and driving business development. You will contribute to sustaining and growing our business to achieve the company’s objectives. In your role you will oversee and manage the relationships with our most important clients - on different levels in their organization, from senior management to daily operations. This will include the full use of our new digital tools and travel across Europe for up to 60% of your working time.

Location for the position is flexible; however, you need to be based somewhere in Germany.

In this role, you report to the Manager Strategic Accounts Team

Your Responsibilities 

 

  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through pace, speed and quality in everything you do.
  • Good instinct for business opportunities, priorities and deal closing.
  • Lead & manage complex negotiations successfully by using the full scope of potential the group is offering.
  • Understand key customer business models, needs and requirements.
  • Manage the transition to 4.0 technologies & solutions and to position us as first choice partners.
  • Able to build, promote and defend complex business cases - facts & figures based.
  • Drive communication between key customers and internal teams/stakeholders.
  • Mobilize people by leadership without formal authority.
  • Build high-performance project support and –teams were needed.
  • Resolve issues and problems faced by customers fast and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
  • Prepare regular and accurate reports of progress and forecasts to stakeholders by using key account metrics.

  • Proven track record in a capital equipment or logistics sales environment.
  • Established leadership/management skills.
  • Passionate about meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Understand the transition to; automation, connectivity & digitalization.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, aptitude in building relationships with key decision makers.
  • Fluent in German and English, any other language is an asset.
  • Strong presentation skills and able to demonstrate a project management approach.
  • Structured way of working (PDCA approach).
  • Demonstrate integrity by walking the talk, full respect and support of the Toyota values.
  • Advanced user of MS365 applications and tools.
  • BSc/BA in a relevant field.
