Toyota Material Handling International AB is looking for a driven, sales oriented senior professional with a firm background within the Material Handling industry with solid sales, rental and product knowledge to facilitate our international markets by leading and developing the operational delivery of the company’s key account function.
The role is made up of two aspects of which one is leading the company’s team of front-line International Key Account Managers. The second is ensuring the IKA organization is providing high quality operational support to Distributors, thus delivering successful business to our customers and partners, to grow our successful International Key Account business even further.
THE ASSIGNMENT
As Head of IKA at Toyota Material Handling International AB, your responsibility is to operate and contribute to the IKA output and leadership of the IKAM team. You advise and support International Key Accounts in their decision-making process by providing valuable input based on your knowledge and experience to exceed annual sales targets, grow Toyota brand volumes, share of customer and margins among assigned International Key Accounts to ensure that Toyota SoM goals are exceeded.
YOUR CHALLENGE
The core responsibility as Head of IKA is making sure our position as market leader is secured. This includes:
- Leading the TMHI IKAM team with members in Sweden and Japan.
- Main responsibility for the International Key Account customer business in collaboration with Distributors to ensure the success of major Toyota procurements.
- Develop strategies/tactics/plans for assigned International Key Accounts.
- Exhibit a genuinely proactive business manner in our processes to exceed set targets.
- Forecast and follow up of International Key Account business performance, including counter actions.
- Ensure availability of necessary knowledge to implement correct actions to improve Share of Customer.
- Drive and support coordination of International Key Account development.
- Support Distributors in their business development processes in the International Key Account area.
- Work with our Regional Managers and distributors to implement plans and take actions to ensure sales targets are met.
We expect you to be a structured and methodical individual with strong people skills. You are results-oriented, pragmatic and you enjoy working in an international environment. You have an eye for details, but you also understand the bigger picture.
You have an outstanding ability to build relationships and develop consensus and understanding on a broad scale. Service-orientation and multitasking comes natural to you as you have a great ability to steadily manage and prioritise different tasks and activities with a professional approach. You have a relevant background and are used to work independently and cross functional as a good and reliable team player.
- We expect you to have documented experience of having held previous positions such as Country Manager or Division Director within the material handling business for at least 6 to 7 years.
- Your credentials certify that you have been operationally involved in multiple large account sales and rental transaction with international clients.
- You have documented experience of setting up, negotiating and closing agreements with large international accounts, validating you have the necessary knowledge and understanding to win large procurement contracts in a material handling setting.
- You have solid experience and a deep understanding of the rental business, including contractual details, managing of mixed fleets and financial set-up.
- You are aware of the challenges that comes with operating in an international arena, which means you understand how to successfully navigate cultural differences between markets, stakeholders and working methods.

As part of our International Key Account Team, you will be stationed in Mjölby, Sweden, and report to the General Manager, Sales Promotion Operations in Nagoya and the Sales Director in TMHI AB. Extensive international traveling is a natural part of this position.
The position is a permanent employment. We utilize a case-to-case assessment on applying probationary period.
