The Position
We are now looking for a Category Manager for Transport to join our Corporate Purchasing. In this role, you will be responsible for negotiating and managing supplier contracts while developing and refining our European purchasing strategies to achieve cost reductions and quality objectives.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to establish sustainable supplier partnerships that align with corporate goals and stakeholder needs. Furthermore, you support our local entities during negotiations and training, safeguarding alignment across Europe. This position involves some travelling within Europe.
In this role you will report to Magnus Samuelsson, Manager Category Management MSCO’s & Corporate Purchasing.
Your Responsibility
- Full commercial responsibility over assigned purchasing category group.
- Main objectives to achieve the agreed cost reduction, sustainability and quality objectives and to support the business.
- Define European purchasing strategies for the assigned category.
- Set up a centralised EU carrier portfolio.
- Embraces the future sustainable transportation vision and support activities towards the maturity growth of the EU transportation network
- Negotiate & maintain contracts and all relevant documentations.
- Cooperate with all legal entities in order to sustain their adaptation of the central agreements.
- Going out to the supply market with Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Quotations (RFQ), evaluating cost of ownership as well as other relevant criteria.
- Set-up sustainable partnerships, matching corporate requirements and stakeholders needs.
- Support the local negotiations.
- Support the local entities though the T&C harmonization process in line with the principles and requirements.
