TMHE Corporate Purchasing is responsible for creation and maintenance of purchasing strategies, creation of central agreements and purchasing training (as well follow-up and coordination of local agreements and adherence for the same) for all local Toyota Material Handling legal entities within Europe.

Your role includes:

  • Full commercial responsibility over assigned purchasing activities.
  • Main objectives to achieve the agreed cost reduction, quality objectives and to support the business.
  • Negotiate & maintain contracts and all relevant documentations.
  • Going out to the supply market with Request for Quotations (RFQ), evaluating cost of ownership as well as other relevant criterias.
  • Set-up sustainable partnerships, matching corporate requirements and stakeholders needs.
  • TMHE Corporate Purchasing is part of a major business transformation. You will be part of and required to develop our processes and our strive for Kaizen, continuous improvements.
  • Content wise the position will be more of operational (not PO handling) and tactical purchasing with some strategic elements.

Your profile

As a person, we believe that you are structured, autonomous and strong in problem solving. You can analyze market and items and propose improvements, set up plans for performing negotiation and create RFQs with full cost lifecycle in mind.

You easily move yourself in an international context. You also have the ability to maintain and develop several topics at the same time with high customer focus. As a person you are communicative, flexible, stress-resistant and adaptive with a positive attitude.

To succeed in this role as a Buyer we believe you have the below abilities:

  • Fluent in Swedish and English.
  • Preferably 1-2 years working experience within Purchasing.
  • Willing to travel within Europe.
  • Have a business acumen mindset.
  • Develop and review agreements, negotiate optimal terms & conditions.
  • Control and maintain compliance.
  • Technical knowledge is an advantage.
  • SAP S/4 Hana ERP system experience is a merit.
  • MS Office skills e.g. Excel, Power Point or ability to acquire these skills in an ease way.
  • Driving license


For this position we will put a lot of emphasis on your personality, mindset and willingness to develop. Therefore, you might not have experience from a traditional role within purchasing, but experience and knowledge from comparable roles internally or externally.
